Pamela Rice serves as an Associate Professor of Architecture at SUNY Orange since August 2006, focusing on sustainable architecture, climate change, and architectural history. Pamela is the Founder and Director of the Community Design Workshop, a nonprofit aimed at community-focused arts education. Additionally, Pamela holds positions on the Board of Directors for Action in Africa and the Basha Kill Area Association, contributing to initiatives that promote local leadership and environmental preservation. As a Lead Teaching Artist at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Pamela designs educational curricula reflecting the historical significance of the Woodstock Festival. Involvement as a Board Trustee at the Mamakating Library includes enhancing sustainability practices and community engagement. Previously, Pamela worked as an Art Workshop Instructor at the Aspen Art Museum. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Community Development from Kansas State University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology, alongside an AAS in Architectural Technology from SUNY Orange.
