Jeanine Engelbrecht

Jeanine Engelbrecht is a Remote Sensing Specialist at BGC Engineering Inc. since March 2021. Previously, Jeanine served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the SARlab at Simon Fraser University from March 2020 to March 2021. Jeanine has extensive experience at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), holding the positions of Principal Researcher and Senior Researcher from January 2014 to March 2020. Jeanine also worked as a Scientific Officer (Remote Sensing) at the Council for Geoscience between September 2005 and December 2013, focusing on the development and application of remote sensing technologies for geological mapping and minerals exploration. Jeanine earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Cape Town from 2008 to 2013 and a Master of Science in GIS and Satellite Remote Sensing from Stellenbosch University from 2000 to 2005.
