Kanwaljit Singh

Kanwaljit Singh serves as the Deputy Director and Senior Program Officer at the Gates Foundation, leading the 'Financial Services for the Poor' team's efforts in developing and adopting technologies aimed at providing digital financial services to unbanked and underbanked populations globally since September 2018. Prior to this role, Kanwaljit Singh spent over a decade at Intel Corporation, where responsibilities included leading research in electron-spin based quantum devices while serving as an Intel Assignee in the Netherlands at Qutech, and holding multiple strategic leadership roles within Process R&D. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Cornell University and executive education in FinTech, Cybersecurity Policy and Technology, and Public Policy Analysis from the University of Cambridge and Harvard University, respectively.
