Heather Iocca

Heather Iocca is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical field with extensive experience in clinical development and product leadership. Currently serving as VP, Global Development & Product Team Leader at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since January 2018, Heather has also held roles as Executive Director and Director of Clinical Development Sciences at the same company. Prior to BioCryst, Heather was the Director of Clinical Science at ProQR Therapeutics and gained valuable experience at PPD in various roles, including Clinical Scientist, Global Product Development. Heather began a career in research as a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Integrative Biosciences and Molecular Medicine from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Ursinus College.
