Karen Hilbun

Karen Hilbun has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Global Development and Post-Approval Regulatory CMC at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Karen has held various roles within the company since May 2004, including Director and Senior Manager of Global Regulatory CMC. Prior to this, Karen worked at DURECT Corporation as a Formulations Scientist and held multiple positions at BioCryst Pharmaceuticals from 1996 to 2002, including Regulatory Affairs Associate and Analytical Chemist. Early career experience includes a role as Production Supervisor at Avanti Polar Lipids. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College, earned between 1987 and 1991.
