Michelle Johnson is vice president of human resources and employee engagement at BioIQ. In this position, she oversees all aspects of human resources management.

Michelle has 15-plus years of experience spanning small entities as an individual contributor to post-merger oversight of a multi-site team. Throughout her career, she has introduced programs, enhanced processes, and implemented solutions to streamline operations, automate functions, boost productivity, and improve morale.

Her diverse background spans program development, benefits administration, new hire onboarding/orientation, employee relations, and performance management in diverse union and non-union environments. Additionally, she has experience in post-immigration HR integration, multi-site HR/payroll management, immigration compliance, and leadership advisement.

Michelle is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Matt McPherson has spent his career in finance helping organizations scale using data and analytics to enable informed decision making. As BioIQ’s Chief Financial Officer, he develops and organizes financial performance metrics both upstream and down to translate company objectives to actual performance and actionable intelligence.

A seasoned veteran McPherson has previously led BioIQ’s Operations, Business Performance and Quality teams and has a broad understanding of the company’s workflows and program execution standards.

McPherson has held executive positions in several organizations in healthcare technology and the highly regulated energy sector.  His most recent venture prior to BioIQ was in the healthcare technology sector as Controller, raising several multi-million-dollar financing rounds ultimately resulting in the acquisition by Aetna in 2012. Prior to that he served as controller in a retail organization inside Equitable Resources, an energy company governed by the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) from inception to profitability inside two years.

Native of Pittsburgh, McPherson earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Robert Morris University.

Pete Desai is the current Chief Financial Officer at [BioIQ](/org/bioiq). Prior to this, they were with Gozio. Before that, they were with Alere, Inc. from June 2007 to December 2015, where they were the EVP Health Strategy & Global Solutions. Pete was also previously with [Accenture](/org/accenture) from October 1999 to June 2007 as a Senior Manager.

Pete Desai earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from [Vanderbilt University](/org/vanderbilt-university). Pete also completed a Biomedical Engineering program focused on Devices at [Vanderbilt University](/org/vanderbilt-university).

Their manager is Justin J. Bellante, Co-founder, President & CEO. Pete Desai works with Coy Gupta - Chief Technology & Information Officer, Andrew Reeves - Chief Operating Officer, and Joshua Sclar - Chief Medical Officer.

Andrew Reeves is [BioIQ](/org/bioiq)’s chief operating officer. In this role, he has responsibility for all client-facing functions across the organization, including the marketing, product, sales, client success and sales enablement teams.
Prior to joining the [BioIQ](/org/bioiq) team, Reeves held a number of leadership positions at [Cigna](/org/cigna-corporation) throughout his 12-year tenure. Most recently, he was regional vice president of national accounts for [Cigna](/org/cigna-corporation) in the Southeast region. In this role, he focused on working with clients and consulting partners to ensure that [Cigna](/org/cigna-corporation) delivered optimal solutions to the company’s prospective and existing clients.
Prior to his tenure with the national accounts team, Reeves was chief distribution officer for [Cigna](/org/cigna-corporation)’s enterprise sales effectiveness group. He also previously served as chief operating officer and market manager for [Cigna](/org/cigna-corporation) HealthSpring’s Georgia-Carolina region and was responsible for building the business from its initial launch in 2013.
Reeves joined [Cigna](/org/cigna-corporation) in 2007 as vice president of [Cigna](/org/cigna-corporation)’s national segment, where he grew and managed key customer relationships across the Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions of the U.S.
Reeves earned a bachelor’s degree from [Florida State University](/org/florida-state-university) in marketing and communications. He currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia and works of out [BioIQ](/org/bioiq)’s corporate headquarters.

Charles King is the current Chief Marketing Officer at [BioIQ](/org/bioiq). Charles has held this position since December of 2017. Prior to joining [BioIQ](/org/bioiq), Charles served as the Vice President of Product Marketing at Optum, a leading health services and innovation company with more than 125,000 people worldwide. Charles was with Optum from January 2016 to November 2017. Before Optum, Charles was the Executive Vice President of Marketing at Alere Inc., a health management services and technology company that was acquired by Optum. Charles was with Alere from August 2007 to January 2016. As the Executive Vice President of Marketing, Charles was responsible for leading marketing strategy and execution to increase brand awareness and generate demand for health management services within employer and health plan market segments. Charles was also accountable for the marketing life cycle, including PR/media relations, lead generation, marketing communications, go-to-market product launches, proposal responses and customer / member engagement. At Alere, Charles managed a staff of 25 and a budget of $4M.

Charles King attended Eastbourne College before studying Materials Science & Engineering at Queen Mary University of London. Charles then completed an MBA at Emory University - Goizueta Business School.

Justin J. Bellante is the Co-founder, President & CEO at [BioIQ](/org/bioiq). Justin has over fifteen years of experience in the healthcare and technology industries. Prior to [BioIQ](/org/bioiq), they were a Researcher at [UC Santa Barbara](/org/uc-santa-barbara) where they developed novel materials and testing platforms for Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) device fabrication and biological applications. Justin also worked as a Scientist at Sandia National Laboratories in the Radiation and Reliability Physics organization. Justin has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from [Purdue University](/org/purdue-university) and a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from [Stanford University](/org/stanford).

Bellante has a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from [Case Western Reserve University](/org/case-western-reserve-university), a Master of Science in Materials Science & Engineering from [Case Western Reserve University](/org/case-western-reserve-university), and is currently a PhD Candidate in Materials Science & Engineering at [UC Santa Barbara](/org/uc-santa-barbara). Justin is also certified by the [National Association of Corporate Directors](/org/national-association-of-corporate-directors) as a NACD Governance Fellow.

Coy Gupta is the Chief Technology & Information Officer at [BioIQ](/org/bioiq). Coy has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry.

Coy Gupta was previously the CTO at MyCareWare, where they designed and launched a cloud-based platform for delivering Medicare-compliant Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs) to patients via on-site and remote means.

Before that, Coy Gupta was the Head of Search for NBC Sports & NBC Olympics, where they led digital strategy optimizing the delivery of the 2016 Rio Olympics across 50+ brand websites and all social media channels. Leveraged machine learning (ML) to enhance delivery optimization to reach over 100 million users.

Coy Gupta is also the Principal at BlipIQ. BlipIQ’s focus is to enable AI functions in digital environments. Projects and products have ranged from e-commerce enablement tools to healthcare and education platforms. The BlipIQ team includes members from CMU, MIT, IIT, Microsoft, Adobe, and other leading institutions of the world.
BlipIQ was a global finalist in the IBM AI X-Prize competition for their work on Artificial Intelligence for Alzheimer's and Autism.

Coy Gupta has an Executive Programs in Innovation and Leadership from 2013-2021 from MIT Sloan School of Management. Coy has a BS in Comp Sci and Business from [Point Park University](/org/point-park-university). Coy is certified from MIT Sloan Executive Education in Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation and from MIT Sloan School of Management in Strategy and Innovation.

Pat Cua has thirty years of healthcare leadership experience ranging from large Fortune 500 companies to startups focused on solutions for hospitals and health plans. His industry experience began with C.R. Bard and has included executive leadership positions with CorSolutions, Matria Healthcare, Aetna and Alere.

In addition to his role as president and CEO of Healthstar Growth Partners, he also serves on the board of directors of several other successful, high-growth healthcare technology companies. He is currently serving as chairman of the board with [BioIQ](/org/bioiq) in Santa Barbara, California, and serves as a board member for Kaviva in Houston, Texas, [Gozio Health](/org/gozio-health) in Atlanta, Georgia, and [Glytec](/org/glytec) in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Dr. Ashley Reynolds currently serves as [BioIQ](/org/bioiq)’s chief experience officer. In his role, he will oversee areas that impact the member and client journey. Dr. Reynolds brings more than 26 years of healthcare experience to his role at [BioIQ](/org/bioiq). As a healthcare executive, Dr. Reynolds has proven his operational and population health expertise leading large regional territories and multiple departments within health plan, disease management, health technology and wellness companies.

Paul McCreadie joined [Arboretum Ventures](/org/arboretum-ventures) in 2006 as an associate and became a managing director in 2011. He invests in capital-efficient medical technology, service and health IT companies focusing on the application of innovative technologies to underserved markets. McCreadie currently serves as a board director for Adavium, [ArborMetrix](/org/arbormetrix), Delphinus Medical, Rethink and Wellfount. He is the former COO for CerviLenz, an Arboretum portfolio company based in Ohio, where he led the redesign of the company’s first commercial product from concept to launch. McCreadie currently serves on the National Advisory Board for the Institute of Health Policy & Innovation at the University of Michigan.

Prior to joining Arboretum, he worked at Ford Motor Company for eight years, holding management positions within product development, manufacturing and business strategy. He was an associate with the Wolverine Venture Fund (WVF) while an MBA student at Michigan’s Ross School of Business. McCreadie earned a BS and MS in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
