Juan Pablo Hinestrosa

VP, Research at Biological Dynamics

JP leads the research team in their efforts to develop the Verita™ platform, including the discovery of new applications and biomarkers implementing AC Electrokinetics. JP has been instrumental in the development Biological Dynamics’ biochip, drastically improving its efficiency and performance. In addition, he has demonstrated the capability of AC Electrokinetics to identify cell-free DNA, exosomes, RNA, and proteins.

Prior to joining Biological Dynamics, JP completed postdoctoral assignments for the United States Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in Switzerland, where he focused on the integration of chemistry, biology, and materials science for the generation of biochips. JP has authored numerous publications in the fields of biocompatible surfaces, nanofabrication, and self-assembled polymers. He holds a PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from Clemson University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Del Valle (Cali, Colombia).
