Jan Michel Falcke

Jan Michel Falcke is a highly experienced professional in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and analytics with significant roles in both academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Director of Global AS&T Projects & Strategy at BioNTech SE since April 2022, Jan oversees analytical CMC activities during late-stage development and product launch. Previously at Sanofi, Jan held multiple leadership titles including Director of Global AS&T Lifecycle Management and Head of Laboratory Bioanalytik/Bioassays, focusing on high-throughput technologies that enhance sample analysis efficiency. Jan’s academic experience includes a postdoctoral position at the Max-Planck Institute for Developmental Biology, where research centered on next-generation sequencing, as well as a PhD from the same institute studying biosynthesis and genetic response in nematodes. Jan has published numerous research articles and contributed to significant advancements in the understanding of biological systems and analytical methodologies.
