Jels Boulangier

Jels Boulangier is a Senior Cloud Engineer at Bird since May 2021, specializing in designing, building, and managing AWS infrastructure for a multi-region, multi-tenant SaaS platform, utilizing technologies such as ECS, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, CloudFront, ALB, and Kinesis Analytics. Prior to this role, Jels worked at PENCIL42 as a Cloud Engineer, focusing on hybrid on-premise/AWS data platform development, and had a PhD Researcher position at KU Leuven where computational models for wind driving mechanisms of AGB stars were developed using Python. Jels also completed a research stay at UCL during the PhD program. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics and a Bachelor's degree in Physics, both from KU Leuven.
