James Morgan

As General Counsel, James Morgan is responsible for the legal needs of BitGo. James has over 20 years of experience within the financial industry. James started as a trader before switching over to the legal side over a decade ago. James has developed a well-rounded perspective, having spent time as a market regulator (NYSE Regulation), a market operator (NYSE Euronext and Miami International Securities Exchange), and a market participant (Genesis Global Trading). James joins BitGo from Genesis Global Trading, where he served as both General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, in which he helped develop the legal and regulatory framework for the first securities broker-dealer to have a cryptocurrency trading operation. James holds a degree in Economics and Spanish Studies from Fordham University and a JD from St. John's University.
