Head of Partnerships at Bitmama

Samuel Opoku is the current Head of Partnerships at Bitmama, a position they have held for 2 years and 3 months. Prior to this, they were the Founding Partner at Start.Up Lounge Africa, where they served as the Finance, Strategy and Innovation Lead. At Start.Up Lounge, Samuel was responsible for co-creating a community that encouraged sustainable and collaborative growth of start-ups in Ghana and across the African continent. Samuel also aimed to make Start.Up Lounge the platform that provides African start-ups with the needed visibility to scale-up sustainably. Samuel's work at Bitmama has been focused on building strategic partnerships in Ghana and Germany to promote internationalisation of the company, as well as supporting company set up in new markets.

Samuel Opoku attended the University of Ghana, where they earned a Bachelor’s Degree in 2012. Samuel then attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ghana (ICAG) to earn their professional designation in 2011. Samuel is also a graduate of the Economics and International Business program at the International Business Management Institute (IBMI) and holds a Certificate in Professional Consulting from the Chartered Management Institute.
