Kevin Thompson

Kevin became a member of our Board of Directors in October 2017. He has been President and Chief Executive Officer of SolarWinds since 2010, having also served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since 2006, and Chief Operating Officer since 2007. Prior to joining SolarWinds, Mr. Thompson was Chief Financial Officer of Surgient, Inc., a software company, from November 2005 until March 2006 and was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at SAS Institute, a business intelligence software company, from September 2004 until November 2005. From October 2000 until August 2004, Mr. Thompson served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), an enterprise software company. Earlier in his career, Kevin was a Partner at global accounting and tax advisory firm PwC and a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen. Kevin serves on the Boards of Solarwinds and Instructure (NYSE: INST). He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma.
