You’re a confident, yet humble, sales leader with a passion for crypto and building exceptional teams. In addition to being a great salesperson, you're a coach and people-leader at heart. You love leading a team of motivated sellers, and you genuinely get excited about developing the skills and capacity of each team member, in addition to pushing them to achieve their fullest potential.
You know how to run a great sales team and enjoy overseeing and coordinating operational rituals like quota setting, pipeline reviews, and call reviews. You consistently bring strategic thinking to each deal and are proactive in helping break down and win complex deals. You're constantly on the lookout for opportunities to improve processes and help the team get more efficient and effective.
As our Director of Sales, you’ll be directly responsible for the day-to-day operations and leadership of our sales team. Reporting directly to one of our Co-Founders, you’ll work in partnership to coordinate, lead, and scale our sales function while ruthlessly prioritizing our ability to hit or exceed our sales and revenue goals. Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:
Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.
First and foremost, you must have significant knowledge of the crypto industry. Additionally, you have a deep enthusiasm and passion for crypto and the future of the industry. You'll also need to have multiple years of direct sales leadership experience managing a team working across multiple sales channels. During that time, you’ve managed an exceptional track record of building great sales teams and consistently getting results. Lastly, you're results-oriented and have a bias for getting work done.
Experience and demonstrated success in crypto sales will move you to the top of the list. If you've spent time in your career doing direct media or ad sales that may also set you apart from other candidates. If you have any experience growing a sales team from the ground up in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear about that, too. Lastly, we'd love to have someone with the demonstrated ability to analyze results and continuously improve team results based on the outcomes.
This is a full time exempt position with an expected on-target earnings of $220,000/year.
