Mary Kate Abel

Mary Kate Abel currently serves as Deputy Executive Director at Blood Cancer United, a position held since August 2024. Previously, from August 2017 to August 2024, Mary Kate held various roles at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, culminating in the position of Campaign Development Director, where responsibilities included overseeing the Atlanta & Augusta Student Visionaries of the Year and managing campaigns such as Students of the Year and Hero Squad. Earlier experience includes serving as a Supplemental Instructor at the University of West Georgia and as an intern in the Office of Governor Nathan Deal. Mary Kate earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of West Georgia from August 2013 to 2017.
