Andrew Rettenmaier is a skilled propulsion engineer with over a decade of experience in the aerospace industry. Currently employed at Blue Origin since June 2012, Andrew specializes in propulsion systems. Previous roles include serving as a research assistant at Purdue University, working under Professor Heister to investigate erosive burning of solid propellants, and leading projects as Integration Lead and Project Lead for the Hybrid Rocket Project, managing a hybrid sounding rocket design. Andrew also gained valuable experience as an engineering co-op at ATA Engineering, focusing on finite element models for spacecraft, and as a research technician at Purdue University, where testing of a pulse-jet engine was conducted. Andrew holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, both with a focus on propulsion, from Purdue University.
