John Couluris

Vice President, Advanced Development Programs - Lunar Permanence

John Couluris is the Senior Vice President of Lunar Permanence at Blue Origin, overseeing a portfolio that includes the MK1 and MK2 landers for NASA. They joined Blue Origin in 2020 after co-founding Reliable Robotics, where they significantly advanced aircraft autonomy and earned several patents. Their career in commercial space began at SpaceX as Senior Director of Launch and Mission Operations, where they made history with the Dragon C2+ mission to the International Space Station. Prior to that, John held key positions at Virgin Orbit and Azul Airlines, and served 10 years in the US Navy as a Naval Aviator and Test Pilot. John holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
