Ben Berry

EVP, Chief Information Officer at Bonneville Power Administration

​Ben Berry began his role as BPA’s chief information officer in June 2017. He is responsible and accountable for BPA’s information technology and cyber security programs, including establishing strategies, objectives and performance standards that align with BPA’s financial targets and strategic direction.

Berry has over 25 years’ experience planning, leading, transforming and executing complex, high-tech systems and aerospace projects and programs for government and civilian organizations.

Most recently, Berry served as CEO and chief digital officer for a Lake Oswego, Oregon-based unmanned aerial vehicle firm. He has also served as chief technology officer and chief information officer for the City of Portland Bureau of Technology Services, and as CEO of Public Private Renewable Energy Group, a Lake Oswego-based think tank for public-private renewable energy.

Berry earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Science in Life Science-Biotechnology from the University of Portland. He lives in Lake Oswego with his wife and has four grown children – two work in technology, one in social services and one in agriculture.
