Patricia Birch

Patricia Birch currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Intercultural Education and Advisor to Students of African Descent at Wellesley College. With extensive experience in higher education, Birch has held various roles at Boston College, including Assistant Director/Adjunct Faculty in the School of Social Work, Pre-Major Academic Advisor, and Assistant Director for Residential Life. Birch is committed to supporting graduate social work students and providing academic guidance to undergraduate students. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Inclusive Excellence Initiatives at Framingham State University, focusing on improving outcomes for historically marginalized students, and as an Area Coordinator at Assumption College. Birch holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, an MBA from Assumption University, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, and a Graduate Certificate in Leadership for Change from Boston College.
