Steve Long

Steve Long is the current Chief International Officer at ManyPets. Prior to this, they served as the CEO and President of Syscon Justice Systems from May 2007 to September 2016.

Syscon Justice Systems is a world-leading provider of enterprise scale, mission critical, offender management solutions. Long was appointed by the Board of Directors to bring the performance and delivery standards demonstrated by the EMEA division of Syscon to the rest of Syscon’s global operations. This included streamlining the business to focus on core competencies and right-sizing the company to match sales pipeline, resulting in a 30% reduction in staff numbers across the global organisation.

Under Long’s leadership, the company successfully moved all projects and client relationships back to ‘green’ status within nine months, and saw a marked increase in on-base sales as a result. Steve also implemented new management systems across the company to ensure a ‘single source of truth’. In 2015, Long won the largest deal in company’s 34 year history.

Steve Long received their Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology from University of Leeds. Steve then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Nematology from Imperial College London.
