Alex Brand

Alex Brand is an experienced business leader and entrepreneur currently serving as the Owner of BrightStar Care in Chicago and La Grange since January 2024, focusing on delivering high-quality personal and skilled care. Prior to this role, Alex was the Regional Director of Operations at REEF, overseeing a team of 180 across multiple locations and improving profitability through strategic budgeting and customer experience analysis. As the Managing Partner at Peppertree Kenya, Alex launched a hospitality group and successfully navigated a challenging environment during the COVID-19 pandemic by adapting business models and leveraging social media for sales. Alex also served as the Director of Operations for Liberty Group, managing operations for SUBWAY restaurants in Kenya, and co-founded Dandelion Kitchen in Minneapolis, the first food truck in the city, where Alex played a significant role in advocating for food truck legislation. Alex holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Wesleyan University.
