Salvador López Carbajal

Salvador López Carbajal possesses extensive experience in higher education, international trade, and economic development. As Regional Director of Higher Education for the Americas at the British Council from January 2016 to January 2021, Salvador coordinated multi-country teams and managed ODA-funded programs aimed at enhancing the higher education and science systems in collaboration with national agencies. Prior roles include leading global partnerships in education, directing business environment reform initiatives, and overseeing education strategies in South Asia. Salvador has also contributed to international negotiations while serving as Head of International Negotiations at ANIERM and held various positions in trade and economic promotion for the Mexican government. Academic qualifications include an M.A. in International Economic Development from the Brussels School of International Studies and a BSc in Economics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
