Head Of Clinical Policy & Evaluation at British Pregnancy Advisory Service

Kate Whitehouse has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations in the healthcare field. Kate is currently working as an Editor at the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Clinical Policy & Evaluation and later as the Associate Director of Clinical Research and Development at the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) from February 2021 to present and April 2018 to February 2021 respectively. Kate also worked as a Consultant Medical Advisor at inne from January 2021 to present. Kate has held positions at renowned institutions such as the World Health Organization as a Research Consultant from September 2017 onwards, and as a Medical Officer from September 2015 to September 2017. Kate also served as a Family Planning Fellow and Clinical Faculty in OB/GYN at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from July 2013 to July 2015. Additionally, Kate worked as a Quality Assurance Auditor at Population Services International in June 2014, and as a Resident Physician, OB/GYN at Baylor College of Medicine from July 2010 to June 2013. Kate started their career as a Resident Physician, OB/GYN at the University of Connecticut Health Center from May 2009 to June 2010. Kate also gained experience as a Clinical Data Manager at Hoffmann-La Roche from October 2004 to June 2005, and as a Clinical Data Technician at Target Research Associates from October 2003 to October 2004.

Kate Whitehouse completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology & Physiology at the University of Maryland from 1999 to 2003. In 2002, they also participated in a study abroad program at the University of Sussex. Kate then pursued their medical education at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from 2005 to 2009. Following that, Kate attended the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical Research.

In terms of certifications, Kate Whitehouse became a licensed physician with the General Medical Council in 2018. Kate also obtained the certifications of Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in November 2015. Additionally, they hold full medical licenses from the Texas Medical Board (2015), Osteopathic Medical Board of California (2014), and Hawaii Medical Board (2013).
