Royal Ivey

Royal Ivey is currently an assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets. Royal was previously with the New York Knicks from June 2018 to October 2020 and the Oklahoma City Thunder from July 2015 to June 2018. Prior to that, they ran their own basketball skills clinic. Ivey was a professional athlete from 2004 to 2014, playing for various teams during that time.

Royal Ivey attended The University of Texas at Austin, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Community Studies.

Royal Ivey reports to Steve Nash, Head Coach. Royal Ivey works with Ryan Forehan-Kelly - Assistant Coach, Adam Harrington - Assistant Coach & Director of Player Development, and Mike D’Antoni - Assistant Coach.
