Jessica Thompson

Jessica Thompson is an experienced data scientist and researcher with a diverse background in biomechanics and human performance. Currently serving as a Data Scientist II at Brooks Running since August 2017, Jessica has held roles that include Research Scientist II and Biomechanics Research Associate. Key contributions involve conducting biomechanics lab testing, developing data analysis programs in MATLAB, and creating impactful reports with Tableau to guide footwear development. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Assistantship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, focusing on neuromuscular biomechanics, and a Teaching Assistant position for MATLAB programming. Jessica holds a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from North Carolina State University and is certified in Data Science from the University of Washington, complemented by dual Bachelor's Degrees in Psychology and Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
