Kristen Haffenreffer is a seasoned professional in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership, currently serving as the Vice President of Philanthropy at Family Service of Rhode Island since December 2024. Haffenreffer has contributed to various organizations as a Board Member for RIBBA and Rhode Island Hospital, and previously held the role of Director of Development at WSBE Rhode Island PBS from October 2021 to November 2024. With extensive leadership experience, Haffenreffer directed operations at RISE from 1997 to 2008 and again from 2016 to 2020, along with serving as the Director of Development at the Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence from 2010 to 2015. Additional roles included consulting for events at the Providence Children's Museum from 2008 to 2010. Haffenreffer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and Literature from St. Lawrence University and has studied at the University of Freiburg in Germany.
