Josh Hancock

Community Advisory Board Member

Josh Hancock currently serves as a Title IX Case Manager & Investigator for Jefferson County Public Schools and as a Residential Peer Specialist at Sweet Evening Breeze. With experience as a Community Advisory Board Member at Brown University, Josh advises on a study aimed at promoting mental and sexual health among sexual minority men. Previously, Josh held positions as Instructor of Record and Engineering Mental Health Training Facilitator at the University of Kentucky College of Education, engaging with students on topics related to education and mental health. Earlier academic work includes being a TRIO Ronald E. McNair Scholar at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where research focused on the psychological impact of affirmative spaces for QTBIPOC. Prior roles include social media outreach at Joliet Junior College and grassroots campaigning for the Democratic Party of Illinois. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and ongoing studies in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky.
