Reid Cooper

Reid Cooper is a highly experienced academic and researcher in the fields of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences, currently serving as a Professor at Brown University since July 2003. Prior to this role, Reid was a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from January 1986 to June 2003, and also worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Corning Incorporated, focusing on basic research in glass-ceramics and structural ceramic composites from September 1983 to December 1985. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Science with a focus on Geophysics from Cornell University (1977-1983) and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from The George Washington University (1973-1977).
