Frank Trani

Frank joined BrownGreer in 2003, and during that time he has worked extensively with regional and national banks overseeing the processing and payment of claims in some of the most significant settlement programs in U.S. history, such as: The NFL Concussion Settlement Fund; The $4.85 billion Vioxx Settlement Fund; The $4 billion Diet Drug Settlement (Phentermine/Fenfluramine Dexfenfluramine); and The $12 billon Deepwater Horizon Economic and Property Damage Settlement and program and the Gulf Coast Claims Facility that preceded it. Frank also has considerable experience with settlements involving wage and hour/overtime issues and with settlements involving the federal government.

Frank began his legal career working for the Commonwealth of Virginia, where his initial responsibilities were focused on the enforcement of state environmental laws and, later, on the enforcement of state laws governing physicians and other licensed health care professionals. He was also responsible for the development of policies and procedures governing Virginia's state Medicaid program.

In addition to his regulatory skill, Frank also has significant experience as a business consultant and project manager, having spent four years with Ernst & Young's Health Care Advisory Services practice. As a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young, Frank worked with hospitals throughout the country on a variety of compliance-related initiatives.
