Elena Carletti

Elena Carletti serves as the Deputy Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the Risk Committee at UniCredit since February 2019, while also being a Non-Executive Board Member and Chairwoman of the Internal Control and Risk Committee. In academia, Elena Carletti holds the position of Dean for Research and Full Professor of Finance at Università Bocconi, where Elena is also the Director of the Banking, Finance, and Regulation Unit. Additional roles include founding Director of the Florence School of Banking & Finance, Member of the Expert Panel on banking supervision at the European Parliament, and Member of the Scientific Committee at Bruegel. With a strong background in economic research and finance, Elena Carletti has been affiliated with several prestigious institutions and has held various scientific committee memberships. Elena Carletti obtained a PhD in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Habilitation in Economics from the University of Mannheim, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Economics from Università Bocconi.
