Rob Withington

Rob Withington is the Chief Information Security Officer at Bumble. Rob has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on information security.

Rob started their career as a developer at bigsave.com in 1999. Rob then moved to Roldec, where they held multiple roles from 1996 to 1999. In 2001, they became a technical consultant at Korea Online.

In 2003, Rob joined AXA as an information security officer. Rob then left AXA in 2007 to become the director of information security at PokerStars. Rob held this position for 13 years until they joined Bumble in 2020.

Rob Withington has a background in software engineering and management. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Birmingham and a Master's degree from Cranfield School of Management. Rob has also undertaken leadership and management development programs at Sir Wilfrid Martineau School.

Rob Withington reports to Whitney Wolfe Herd, Founder & CEO. They are on a team with Miles Norris - Chief Product Officer, Selby Drummond - Chief Brand Officer, and Anu Subramanian - Chief Financial Officer.
