George Plytas

George Plytas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in information security and management. As Co-Founder and Chief Security Officer at Oppos since June 2019, George has driven innovative security strategies. Concurrently, George serves as Head of Information Security at CAASCO and has acted as Director of Infrastructure & Operations since March 2017. In a long-standing role as Manager of Information Security at CAA South Central Ontario since September 2012, George has contributed significantly to organizational security. Additionally, George is the Principal at GMJ Security Consulting Inc., established in 2012, focusing on helping organizations develop their information security programs and achieve compliance, particularly with PCI-DSS standards. George's prior positions include Information Security Specialist at Toronto Star and Security Consultant at Moneris Solutions, following an earlier role as Webmaster at RBC Royal Bank.
