Jessie Pontes-Self is a seasoned professional in business development and marketing with extensive experience in the food industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Calavo Growers since April 2023, previous roles include Director of Marketing at Foster Farms, where responsibilities encompassed fully cooked and prepared business for both retail and food service channels. Jessie has also held key positions at The Kraft Heinz Company, including Brand Manager for Planters and Oscar Mayer, and gained early career experience as a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Firemans Fund Insurance Company. Jessie holds an MBA in Marketing from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from UC San Diego.
