James Barnes

James Barnes is a seasoned physician currently serving as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and Vituity since September 2015, alongside a fellowship in Health Services Research and Development at Palo Alto VA Hospital. With a strong research background, James has focused on cost-effectiveness analysis and outcomes related to physician workload effects on inpatient care, including cancer care economics. Prior fellowship experience at Stanford University involved similar research in oncology and surgical technology evaluation. James completed residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford University and holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Chicago, along with a master's degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from Rice University.
