Alan Tao Xu

Alan Tao Xu is a seasoned professional in the field of photovoltaic research and development, currently serving as Vice President of PV R&D at Canadian Solar Inc. since August 2011, after progressing from the role of Senior R&D Engineer at the same company. In these positions, Alan has been instrumental in leading new module designs, managing process technologies, and enhancing module reliability and performance. Educationally, Alan holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Applied Science in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
