Project WET (water Education For Teachers) Instructor at Canadian Water Resources Association

Dave Mitchell currently serves as the Director for Associate Members at the Outdoor Council of Canada since November 2019, contributing valuable leadership to the Board of Directors. As a Paddling Instructor for Paddle Canada since May 2009, Dave imparts expertise in various paddling disciplines. Additional instructional roles include Project Wild & Below Zero and Project WET courses for the Canadian Wildlife Federation and the Canadian Water Resources Association, respectively. Previous positions include Program & Training Manager at Geneva Park and Adventure Intervention Officer at the Department of Justice and Attorney-General QLD. With a strong educational background, Dave holds a Master of Social Work from Lakehead University, along with various qualifications in ecotherapy and outdoor experiential education.
