Marnee Spierer

Chief of Staff, CTCA Phoenix at City of Hope

Dr. Spierer is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist. She began her radiation oncology career as Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology and Residency Program Director at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She spent five years in this academic position and then spent a few years in private practice. She came to CTCA Phoenix in 2014 and within a year of her arrival, became Medical Director of the Department of Radiation Oncology. In addition to this leadership role, she was appointed Medical Director of Clinical Operations at CTCA Phoenix. She was subsequently elected by her peers to be Chief of Staff and has been in that role since 2017.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Michigan, Dr. Spierer received her Master of Arts degree in Exercise Physiology followed by her medical degree; both at Columbia University in New York City. She completed her residency in Radiation Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She recently earned her Master of Business Administration at the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business.

Dr. Spierer has been consistently recognized as an outstanding oncologist and has received numerous awards over the past several years including: Patients’ Choice Award, Best Doctors, Compassionate Doctors and Top Oncologists. She serves on the Board of Directors of CTCA Phoenix and a non-profit focused on educational access for Malawian girls. She was recently featured in AZ Big Media as one of the 2019 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business.

She and her husband David have two children; Ellie and Nate, and they live in Phoenix, Arizona.
