Vince Jensen

Chief Clinical Operating Officer & Chief Executive, City of Hope Medical Foundation at City of Hope

Vince Jensen, M.B.A., serves City of Hope as chief executive for City of Hope Medical Foundation, City of Hope’s faculty practice plan and physician services organization. He also serves as Chief Clinical Operating Officer, where he leads City of Hope's expansive clinical services on campus and within its clinical network.

Jensen brings with him over 30 years of health care experience in hospital, medical foundation and large health system settings. He has served in executive leadership roles for academic and nonacademic health care entities with a focus on clinical operations, managed care, health care finance, clinical growth strategy, and health care mergers and acquisitions. He is passionate about enhancing access to cancer care and was instrumental in shaping City of Hope's early vision to develop a clinical network — bringing care closer to home of the patient.

Prior to City of Hope, Jensen served as president and chief operating officer for Sansum Clinic, a health system in Santa Barbara, California. He began his career in the Providence Health System, where he served the Los Angeles Service region for over 10 years before joining City of Hope in 1998.

Jensen is a recognized leader in the health care community. He has served on the board of directors for the California Association of Physician Groups, the Economic Forecast Project for the University of California Santa Barbara and presently serves on the board of Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Centers.
