Faray Majid

Faray Majid is a data science professional currently serving as a Principal Associate Data Scientist at Capital One since May 2025. Previously, Faray held the position of Data Scientist II at Afiniti, focusing on the development and deployment of predictive models for caller-agent pairing and customer churn prediction using various machine learning techniques. Faray's early experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, assisting users with high-performance computing systems, and as a Teaching Assistant for a Numerical Methods course. Earlier career highlights include an Engineering Analyst role at Engro Vopak Terminal Limited, where Faray successfully reduced equipment downtime through data analysis, and leadership of Team HammerHead, which achieved 6th place in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2017. Faray holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.
