VP, Transactions & Senior Paralegal at Capital Square

Melodie Bobko serves as paralegal of Capital Square, supporting the firm’s executive vice president and general counsel. Bobko has more than 20 years of experience in the legal and real estate fields as a commercial real estate paralegal. Prior to joining Capital Square, she served as senior corporate paralegal of a nationally recognized real estate securities practice group at Hirschler Fleischer, a Richmond-based law firm, in the business law and real estate securities practices groups. Bobko worked closely with investors, brokers, lenders and outside counsel to coordinate and prepare investor blotters, calculate cash and percentage investments, prepare Form D and Form U-2 securities compliance filings with SEC and investor states, prepare investor documents, review escrow and exchange documents, coordinate bank accounts for distributions, coordinate closings, and prepare closing binders. She was also responsible for the formation and qualification of TIC or special purpose entities and preparation tax and annual report filings.

Previously, she has also worked in commercial title underwriting, private and municipal property development and management, and development and RFP coordinator for a local arbitrage rebate company. Most recently she served as senior commercial real estate paralegal for both Hirschler Fleischer and Troutman Sanders, working on commercial real estate transactions for a regional healthcare system and a national supercenter chain, respectively.

Bobko earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.
