Marc Menden is a board member at [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research) and was previously employed at [General Motors](/org/general-motors), Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, and [Honeywell](/org/honeywell) Transportation Systems. Menden has over 20 years of experience in purchasing and procurement roles. At Ford Motor Company, Menden held various purchasing roles over the span of 12 years. In 2007, Menden left Ford to join [Honeywell](/org/honeywell) Transportation Systems as the Sr. Director of Americas Purchasing. In this role, Menden was responsible for the sourcing and procurement activities of [Honeywell](/org/honeywell)'s Transportation Systems in North and South America. Menden remained in this role until 2016 when they left [Honeywell](/org/honeywell) to join [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research) as a board member.

Marc Menden has an MBA in marketing from the University of Arizona - Eller College of Management and a BS in finance from Brigham Young University - Marriott School of Management.

Kevin Alexander is a board member at [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research). Kevin has also served as the fiscal director for the State of Tennessee Department of the Military and as a budget analyst for the state of Tennessee. Kevin is a service disabled veteran and the owner of Blue Line Fence, a full-service fence installation and repair company in Middle Tennessee. Kevin has also co-owned Commet, Inc., where they led operations and directed project managers, site leaders, installers, and administrative staff.

Lisa Haley is currently a board member at [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research). Lisa has over eight years of experience in the field of human resources, specifically in the area of compensation. Lisa has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the [University of Pennsylvania](/org/university-of-pennsylvania).

Lisa began their career as a compensation analyst at Day & Zimmermann. In this role, they participated in annual market surveys, conducted data audits and analysis, and helped to administer the company's salary planning and incentive processes. Lisa then moved to Hay Group, where they spent two years as a senior compensation analyst. In this role, Lisa was responsible for researching and analyzing data to determine appropriate salary levels for client jobs, conducting salary surveys, and preparing statistical analysis and insights for clients around common reward policies and practices.

In November 2017, Lisa returned to the [University of Pennsylvania](/org/university-of-pennsylvania) Health System, this time as a compensation specialist. In this role, they were responsible for administering the health system's compensation programs and providing support to HR Business Partners on day-to-day compensation-related matters. Lisa remained in this position until April 2022, when they were elected to the [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research) board.

Lisa Haley's educational career includes earning a B.A. in Communications from [Penn State University](/org/penn-state) and attending Lower Merion High School.

Steve Katzfey is a Board Member at [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research). Prior to this, they served as Vice President, Global Supply Chain and Chief Supply Chain Officer at [Dover Corporation](/org/dover-corporation) from October 2014 to October 2021. In this role, they managed an engine component product portfolio totaling $370M in sales and developed business cases consisting of financial projections, market analysis, distribution, pricing, and core strategies for presentation to the executive product council. Steve also successfully led [Navistar](/org/navistar) into new markets as program manager for four new product launches.

Before their time at [Dover Corporation](/org/dover-corporation), Steve Katzfey served as Director of Procurement at [Navistar](/org/navistar) Inc from July 2002 to September 2014. In this role, they were responsible for product pricing, discount programs and customer incentive strategies. Steve also led cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, quality, sales, marketing/pricing, finance, distribution and suppliers to launch diesel product programs on time and competitively positioned in the market.

Steve majored in business with a focus in marketing at [Miami University](/org/miami-university). Steve then went on to get their MBA in finance from DePaul University's Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Steve also studied international business at the United States Military Academy at West Point and abroad in Luxembourg.

Jeff Place is a board member at [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research). Jeff has over 25 years of experience in the industry, including executive roles at Raytheon, United Technologies, and Eaton Corporation. Prior to their current position, they were the leader of the Great Lake's Strategy Practice for Whittman-Hart/ marchFirst.

Jeff Place began their career in 1995 at AlliedSignal/Honeywell. Jeff held various positions over the next 5 years before joining Whittman-Hart/ marchFIRST as the Director of Strategy Practice in 2000. In this role, they were responsible for providing client executives analysis of complex business and technical issues surrounding the development and implementation of technology and business solutions.

In 2002, Jeff Place joined Eaton Corporation as Vice President of Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, & Quality. Jeff held this position for 9 years before moving to United Technologies in 2010 as Vice President of Operations- sales, inventory and operations planning. In 2017, they joined Raytheon as Vice President of Supply Chain Management.

Jeff Place has a long history of executive-level experience in the supply chain management industry. Jeff's experience and expertise have made him a valuable asset to [CAPS Research](/org/caps-research).

Jeff Place received a Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management from [Michigan State University](/org/michigan-state-university). Jeff also attended [INSEAD](/org/insead) for Global Executive Leadership. Lastly, they received their MBA in Finance/ International Management from the Weatherhead School of Management at [Case Western Reserve University](/org/case-western-reserve-university).
