Emma Julian

Emma Julian is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Head of Legal at Capsule since August 2020, where responsibilities include leading the legal function and overseeing the Legal team. Prior roles include Deputy General Counsel and Associate General Counsel, contributing to the establishment and growth of in-house legal operations. Emma's experience also encompasses a position as Legal Director at Enigma Technologies, Inc., supporting a strategic shift in company focus, and as a Corporate Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, representing private equity firms and corporations in various transactional matters. Early career experiences included articling and summer positions at top law firms, as well as intern roles with the International Organization for Migration and Pro Bono Students Canada. Emma holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, with additional studies at Sciences Po.
