Nesreen Shahrour is a dedicated and accomplished individual with a strong background in research and advocacy. Currently serving as a Research Assistant in the Community Health Division at Georgetown University Medical Center, Shahrour collaborates with Dr. Kim Bullock to investigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. As a co-founder and former Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Scientific Research Journal, Shahrour has overseen multiple publication cycles and led initiatives to foster a vibrant scientific community on campus. Notably, Shahrour advocated for the establishment of the first Disability Cultural Center at a Jesuit university, significantly contributing to accessibility and inclusion efforts at Georgetown University. Shahrour's commitment to mentorship, community engagement, and social justice has been demonstrated through various roles in educational programs and organizations, along with a solid academic foundation in Human Science and ongoing medical education.
