Carroll E. Bronson

Director of the Center for Excellence in Education & Innovation at Cardinal Stritch University

Dr. Carroll Bronson received her Ph.D. in Urban Education, specializing in Administrative Leadership, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has been at Stritch for over ten years. She currently teaches research courses at the doctoral level, while splitting her time as the Director of the Center for Excellence in Education and Innovation.

Prior to joining Stritch, Bronson had the opportunity to work as a research investigator on three-year ethnographic research projects in the Milwaukee Public School district, which focused on various reform and leadership initiatives. Additionally, she worked in the K-12 educational environment as a principal of a Montessori School. Her most recent research focuses on developing workshops on the scholarship of teaching and learning to encourage and support faculty as they reflect on questions about student learning derived from their own experiences in the classroom. Other research interests include team design and communication both face-to-face and in virtual environments. She has presented locally, nationally and internationally at research conferences on these topic. Carroll has also published several articles in referred publications.
