Jay Balanza

Jay Balanza is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in UX/UI design and product development. Currently serving as the Head of Mobile UX/UI at Caterpillar Inc. since April 2017, Jay is recognized as a subject matter expert in native mobile design, contributing to the creation of CAT's first comprehensive mobile design system and enhancing the CAT App's user experience. Previous roles include Senior Product Designer at Yard Club, where Jay played a key role in the company's acquisition by Caterpillar through innovative product demonstrations, and at Oomami, Inc., where Jay led the design strategy for multiple features. Earlier experience includes managing design teams at Bickel Group Architecture and working as a freelance UX and product designer. Jay holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
