Cawthron Institute
Craig Prichard is a Social Scientist at the Cawthron Institute, starting in September 2023. Previously, Craig worked as an Independent Contractor for the NZ Institute of Economic Research, focusing on the Sustainable Seas Science Challenge, from August 2022 to June 2024. Craig served as a Boat Host at Wilsons Abel Tasman National Park from October 2022 to June 2023, promoting the park's unique features. As a Business Development facilitator and Programme Lead Specialist in Aquaculture at the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology from February 2021 to October 2022, Craig contributed to course development and industry engagement. Craig's earlier career included roles as an Associate Professor at Massey University from May 1998 to February 2021 and previous academic positions at various universities. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Management and Organization Studies from the University of Nottingham, a Maritime Operations Skipper restricted limits degree, and a Journalism Certificate from Auckland Institute of Technology.
