Yaswant Devarakonda

Yaswant Devarakonda currently serves as the Manager of the Space & Spectrum Policy Center at the Computer & Communications Industry Association, a position held since September 2025. Prior to this role, Yaswant was an AIP Fellow at the U.S. Department of State from October 2024 to September 2025 and a John N. Bahcall Public Policy Fellow at the American Astronomical Society from April 2023 to September 2024. Yaswant's academic journey includes a PhD and a Master of Science in Astronomy from Texas A&M University, where involvement as a Graduate Student spanned from July 2018 to May 2023. Additionally, Yaswant completed a Bachelor's degree in Astronomy and another in Physics at The University of Texas at Austin, alongside roles as a Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant, focusing on high redshift galaxies. An internship at Nanohmics in 2017 involved the design and implementation of instruments for exoplanet detection.
