Sean Hiebert

Sean Hiebert is a seasoned emissions management engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as a Staff Emissions Management Engineer at Cenovus Energy since September 2019, Sean also holds the position of Methane Technology Theme Lead with the Clean Resource Innovation Network since October 2021. Previously, Sean worked as a Senior Technical Advisor at the Alberta Energy Regulator and held various roles at Cenovus Energy, including Team Lead in Operations Energy Efficiency. With a background that includes leadership in the Technology for Emissions Reduction and Eco-Efficiency Committee at Petroleum Technology Alliance Canada and multiple engineering roles at ConocoPhillips and Imperial Oil Canada, Sean possesses a strong foundation in energy efficiency, emissions management, and climate policy assurance. Sean holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Chemical Engineering Technology Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
