Mohammed Ali Akbar is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software development and education. Currently serving as a Senior Software Development Manager in the R&D department at Blueprint Software Systems since March 2016, Mohammed guides team efforts towards successful project delivery and enhances software development processes while providing technical leadership through coaching and mentorship. In addition, Mohammed is a professor at Centennial College, teaching software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies since 2017. Prior roles include Senior Lecturer at Techno Canada Centre of Excellence, where software development methodologies and quality processes were taught, and Senior Software Engineer at Upstream Works Software, supervising QA teams and contributing to various phases of the software development lifecycle. Mohammed began the career as Lead of a Development team at AH Computer Consulting, Inc., managing Java developers and establishing engineering processes. Academic credentials include a Master of Software Engineering and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
