Kirstin Michel

Kirstin Michel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in health policy and administration. Currently serving as the Technical Director for the Division of Enrollment Policy & Operations at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services since March 2015, Kirstin also has a background as a Health Insurance Specialist. Prior roles include Medicaid Policy Specialist at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing from January 2012 to March 2015, and Project Manager/Analyst at RBSCo from October 2008 to January 2010. Kirstin's experience in legislative affairs includes serving as a Legislative Correspondent/Aide for Senator Bernie Sanders in the U.S. Senate, as well as a Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant for Congressman Bernie Sanders in the U.S. Congress. Kirstin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Italian, and Music from the University of Rochester, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver.
