Shannon Babb

Instructional/curriculum Specialist ► Education Leader ● Industry Trend Setter at Central Utah Water Conservancy District

Shannon Babb is an accomplished educational leader and instructional specialist with extensive experience in curriculum development and STEM education. At Central Utah Water Conservancy District, Shannon Babb served as an Instructional/Curriculum Specialist from January 2020 to August 2024. Prior to this role, Shannon Babb worked as an Education Consultant and Lead Curriculum Developer at Thalweg Education Innovations, contributing to significant academic achievement through the creation of science-based educational programs. As the 4-H STEM Coordinator for Utah State University Extension, Shannon Babb developed a successful STEM program that expanded participation from fewer than 300 to over 11,000 youth. Earlier experience includes positions as a Soil Science Technician at Utah State University and Head Technician for the National Science Foundation's Arctic Lake Research Project, where Shannon Babb demonstrated strong team leadership and project management skills. Shannon Babb holds a Master's Degree in Instructional Design from Western Governors University and a Bachelor's Degree in Watershed and Earth Systems from Utah State University.
